karena ia percaya padamu… Ayah tidak mencoba menjadi yang terbaik, tapi dia hanya mencoba melakukan yang terbaik…. Dan terpenting adalah… Ayah tidak pernah menghalangimu untuk mencintai Tuhan, bahkan dia akan membentangkan seribu jalan agar kau dapat menggapai cintaNya, karena diapun mencintaimu karena cintaNya.

There would appear to be a problem with CDROM/Flash-Media detection in the server version of the Ubuntu installation ISOs.
The Ubuntu 10.04 desktop installer works fine on my Revo R3610.
The Ubuntu 10.04 server installer halts and fails with a message that the CDROM can not be found.
The message reads ‘No common CD-ROM drive was detected’
I have managed to get around this CDROM detection issue by mounting a copy of the server ISO file as a CDROM device at install time.
This worked for me,
– Format a USB Flash Drive as FAT. The Drive should be a minimum of 2G in size.
– Download ubuntu-10.04-server-amd64.iso. http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors#alternate
– Install Unetbootin. http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net
– Do a ‘Disk image’ install of the ubuntu ISO on the USB Flash Drive using Unetbootin.
– Copy the ubuntu-10.04-server-amd64.iso file into the root directoy of the USB Flash Drive(You wouldn’t normally do this)
– Plug the USB Flash Drive into the Revo and boot it up.
– Press F12 repeatedly as the Revo boots until you are in the bios boot device menu. Select USB.
– In the Unetbootin menu select default.
– Go through the installer ‘Choose language’ and ‘Keyboard section’ as per normal.
– When you get to the ‘Detect and mount CD-ROM’ section you will see the message ‘No common CD-ROM drive was detected’.
– At this point, enter ALT-F2 and ENTER. You should now be in the console.
You should be able the see the HD device as /dev/sda and the USB Flash Drive device as /dev/sdb with ls.
- Code: Select all
ls -l /dev/sd*
Create a directory to mount the USB Flash Drive against.
- Code: Select all
mkdir /iso
Mount the USB Flash Drive to the /iso directory
- Code: Select all
mount -t vfat /dev/sdb1 /iso
Link the ubuntu iso file to a CDROM device
- Code: Select all
ln -sf /iso/ubuntu-10.04-server-amd64.iso /dev/sr0
Now enter ALT-F1 to jump out the console and back into the installer
– Answer <No> to the ‘Load CD-ROM drivers from removable media?’ question.
– Answer <Yes> to the ‘Manually select a CD-ROM module and device?’ question.
Enter the device file for accessing the CD-ROM
- Code: Select all
/dev/sr0
The installation will start.
– When asked if you want to unmount /dev/sdb, answer <NO>
The installation should proceed normally from this point onwards.

There`s something wrong when i faced 2800-series router with no software in it`s CF card. *DAMN.. I have no idea what i have to do and what should i type when i go googling. As usual, i go facebooking (“,) … suddenly i found some article that written by what i`m doing exactly same as what he`s done. *Eum .. not exactly same sih because i already have that 12.4 ROMMON đ
startHide()To support IOS boot from USB token, you need a newer version of 2800-series ROMMON which you’ll get from the ROMMON download page (registered CCO users only). You need ROMMON release 12.4(13r)T (description: C2800 ROMMON Upgrade; adds boot from usb flash drive capability).
After you’ve downloaded the file onto a USB token, upgrade the router ROMMON with the upgrade rom-monitor file usbflash0:C2800NM_RM2.srec.124-13r.T command (requires router reboot).
Test the upgraded ROMMON with the dev command. You should see the USB flash devices:

You can use USB token-resident IOS releases in two ways:
- As an emergency boot mechanism when you have problems with the CF card. Remove the CF card, insert USB token, restart the router and use the boot rommon command, for example boot usbflash0:c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-11.T1.bin.
- As a regular boot image. Use the boot system global configuration command to specify the USB token image to use, for example boot system usbflash0:c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-11.T1.bin. The router will not boot off USB token without the boot system command … and, obviously, you should never remove the USB token from the router.
It`s been a long time i have`t finished one of “important” work at the office… at the moment i still can`t get how is cascading works… and i`m try to configure Linksys WRT54G
as a wireless access point and cascade it with Linksys RV042 as a primary router and gateway to access to the internet and using VPN to get connected to.
And then i got several problem.
What is the LANIP of the RV042?
What is the dhcp dymamic pool give out?
What is the subnet mask of the RV042.
Lets say
172.16.1.1
172.16.33-99
255.255.255.0
Then on 54G, turn DCHP off, (turn Router MODe OFF) jangan lupa di set mode Gateway .. bukan Router
Assign manual LANIP of 172.16.1.55
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Plug LAN port to LAN port. (do not use wan port)
You should be good to go………… only have to setup wireless settings.
1. Connect a computer to the port 1 of the WRT54G and leave it disconnected from the RV042.
2. Launch your Internet Explorer 5Â or later version. In the Address, Search or URL, type: Âť 192.168.1.1, then hit Enter or Return. A login screen will appear. Type admin for the password and leave the username blank or empty then hit Ok.
3. Change the Device IP address or Local IP address of the wireless router to 172.16.1.55, leave the rest on default settings then hit the Apply button. If it asks you to continue, click the button. ThereÂĄÂŻs no need to wait for the previous page to come back; close the browser by pressing Alt+F4. Reboot or restart the computer.
4. Access 172.16.1.55 and disable the DHCP server then save the settings.
5. Connect the WRT54G to your RV042 from its regular port going to the regular port of the primary router.
6. Power cycle the devices.
a. Turn off or power down the RV042, WRT54G and the computer. Wait for 30 seconds.
b. After that power up the RV042, WRT54G and the computer.
7. Once the computer can access the Internet when wired to the WRT54G, configure the wireless settings of the router.
8. Access 172.16.1.55 and click on the Wireless tab.
9. Change the SSID to any name you want to call the wireless network and try to change the channel to 11, 1 or 9 then save the settings.
10. Click on the wireless security sub-tab. Check the security mode. If it is set to WEP, you need to type the network key or the value of key 1 when connecting to the wireless network.
Make sure that you are typing all the letters of the network key in uppercase if the Security mode is WEP… but you can use WPA key.
And then … cofigure Linksys RV042 as usual ….
using ip 172.16.1.1 for LAN IP .. and set your WAN ip to everything that your ISP gave to you….
